Order of the Red Banner #205083

Made of solid silver and enamels. Measures 45.3 mm in height, 37.3 mm in width and it weighs 27.6 grams without its suspension. The serial number and curved mint mark are located at the 6 o’clock position of its reverse.

In worn but presentable condition with most details visible and medium wear to the raised silver parts. The red enamels are mostly original but show a repair on the left side of the top banner and the bottom ray of the red star. The order comes with its time period double layer suspension and its connection ring has been cut.

Most likely awarded during the first half of 1945 so with nice research potential

The Order of the Red Banner recognized military deeds. Before the establishment of the Order of Lenin, the order functioned as the highest (and practically the only) military order of the USSR. Practically all well-known Soviet commanders became Cavaliers of the Order. Also awarded to NKVD personnel.
