Group of Soviet Medals with Booklet
Awarded to Platoon Commander of IS-3 heavy tanks Alexey Anisimovich Romanov (Алексей Анисимович Романов)
Romanov was being wounded twice in 1943 and and received his first Medal for Combat Merit for this. According to his service record he fougth the Hungarian rebellion of 1956 as part of the 39th Guards Mechanised Division, 38th Army which possibly explains him being awarded the late Medal for Bravery
Medal for Bravery
Made of solid silver and enamels. Measures 42.19 mm in height including its eyelet, 37.19 mm in width and it weighs 27.9 grams.
The medal is in excellent condition with its details perfectly visible and all enamel still present. Both sides show a medium dark patina and its connection ring has not been cut.
Medal for Combat Merit #3019013
Made of solid silver and lacquer. Measures 37.11 mm in height including its eyelet, 32.14 mm in width and it weighs 18.0 grams.
The medal is worn but decent condition. The lacquer filling the lettering is worn off but most details are still perfectly visible. Its connection ring has been cut and both sides show a medium patina.
Medal for Combat Merit
Made of solid silver and lacquer. Measures 37.17 mm in height including its eyelet, 32.26 mm in width and it weighs 19.3 grams.
The medal is in excellent condition with its details perfectly visible and all enamel still present. Both sides show a medium dark patina and few dings and scratches only. Its connection ring has been cut.

In used condition but with all pages present and still attached to the cover. It mentions all 3 medals above.

In the battles for the Socialist homeland, he was twice slightly wounded near Sukhinichi and for the capture of the village of Yasenok, Oryol region. During his stay in the unit, he showed himself to be a disciplined, executive officer. Demanding to himself and to his subordinates. Demanding to himself and to his subordinates.
Tactically literate. He works a lot to improve his knowledge. He treats his duties in good faith. Skillfully conveys his combat experience gained in battles with the German invaders. He knows the materiel and weapons well. The platoon is well put together. Platoon discipline is good. Methodically organizes classes correctly. Shows concern for subordinates.
Loyal to the party of Lenin-Stalin and the Socialist Motherland. For participation in the Great Patriotic War for the defense of the Socialist Motherland, he deserves to be awarded the governmental medal for Military Merit.
