Soviet Order of the Red Banner #437308
This order of the Red Banner made of solid silver and enamels. Measures 44.88 mm in height and 36.17 mm in width. It weighs 25.3 gram. The serial number and mint mark are located at the 6 o’clock position of its reverse.
The order is in absolute mint condition with crisp details and flawless enamels. The gold plating is fully present and its connection ring has not been cut. The award comes with its time period double layer steel suspension and old ribbon.
The Order of the Red Banner recognized military deeds. Before the establishment of the Order of Lenin, the order functioned as the highest (and practically the only) military order of the USSR. Practically all well-known Soviet commanders became Cavaliers of this Order. Also awarded to NKVD personnel.
