For eliminating three soldiers and capturing one during a reconnaissance mission to capture an enemy officer in the village of Patreshno on January 17, 1945
Note that Private Put was bestowed his Red Star in 1945, but it took decades before he actually received it. Hence the high serial number
Made of silver and enamels. Measures 48.22 mm in width, 46.05 mm in height and weighs 30.9 grams without its screwplate. The serial number is located at the 6 o’clock position and the mint mark on the 12 o’clock position of its reverse.
In superb condition with crisp details to the raised areas and a dark patina to the silver on both sides. The beautiful enamels are very well preserved without repairs and show one or two minor dings only. Its screw is full length and the comes with a well fitting screwplate.

On January 17, 1945, Comrade Put’s unit was sent on a reconnaissance mission to the village of Patreshno. Moving along hidden paths, he crawled into the enemy’s rear. While carrying out the task of capturing an enemy officer, he encountered four enemy soldiers. Put killed three Germans and captured one, whom he delivered to the battalion headquarters.
Comrade Put deserves to be awarded the governmental award of the Order of the “Red star”.
