Researched Soviet Order of the Red Banner #47352

Козловский Михаил Михайлович

Awarded to Lt. Colonel Mikhail Mikhailovich Kozlovsky (Михаил Михайлович Козловский)

For preventing the enemy breaking through the defences by engineering fortifications and creating obstacles

This order of the Red Banner made of solid silver and enamels. It measures 40.36 mm in height, 36.42 mm in width and weighs 25.3 gram without its screwplate. The serial number and the mint mark Monetni Dvor are located at the 6 o’clock position of its reverse.

The order is in excellent, above average condition with light to medium overall wear. Even the higher laying parts such as the centre wreath and the torch still show their details. The enamels are in better condition than most early Red Banners. Apart from some flaking all is present without repairs. The white enamel is problem free and also original. The order has not been converted and the screw has not been shortened. It comes with its time period silver screwplate and the order shows a medium patina on both sides.

Short Description of his feat of arms:

“The engineer of the landing force Lt. Colonel KOZLOVSKY’s energy, professionalism, and selfless work significantly strengthened the landing force defensive capability.

The defensive line and the obstacles in front the forward line, which we constructed under the supervision of comrade KOZLOVSKY’s, withstood serious tests.

Attack by a superior force supported by armour, massive enemy artillery and aerial barrages couldn’t break through the landing force defences. This success was significantly assisted by the engineering fortifications and the obstacle system constructed under comrade KOZLOVSKY’s supervision.

Personally comrade KOZLOVSKY is a brave and proactive commander, who fully deserves state award – order “RED BANNER””
