Soviet Medal for Bravery #18205
Awarded to Private Petr Stepanovich Stepanov (Петр Степанович Степанов)
Awarded for the Finish War for duty at Field mobile hospital № 2010
Made of solid silver. Measurements of the medal; 37.11 mm in diameter and 3.05 mm in thickness. The height of the medal is 41.91 mm (including the eyelet) and the medal weighs 30.3 gram without its suspension. The suspension measures 25.12 mm in width at its narrowest point and 31.23 at its widest point.
The suspension itself is original but was sold without screw and screwplate. We attached a screw and used an old (but not correct for this medal) screwplate which fits the screw well. Pictures of the suspension in the state when we received the medal can be seen in the picture gallery.
Apart from the small repair mentioned above, this medal for Bravery is in excellent, well above average condition with its details crisp. Even the details of the higher laying parts like the rivets on the side of the tank and the canons show little wear. The enamel filling the letters is fully present and in perfect condition. Its connection ring is original and has not been cut.
Rare piece with flawless enamels!
