Documented Soviet Group of an Order of Glory and a Medal for Bravery
Awarded to Guards private Arkady Sidorovich Beleschuk (Аркадий Сидорович Белищук)
For taking out 4 Nazi’s and clearing the way for the infantry
The group consist of the following items:
Order of Glory #405200
Made of solid silver and enamels. Measures 46.06 mm in width; 48.52 mm in height and weighs 22.9 gram. The serial number is located on top of its reverse.
This order is in excellent, above average condition with crisp details. The enamel shows some dings and superficial flaking but is otherwise fine and looks great. The order shows a medium dark patina on both sides and its connection ring has not been cut.
Medal for Bravery #1477509
Made of solid silver and enamels. Measures 37.13 mm in width, 42.26 mm in height (including its eyelet) and weighs 27.1 gram without its suspension.
The medals is in excellent condition with all details present. Most of the red lacquer is still present and the medal shows a medium patina on both sides. Its connection ring has not been cut and the double layer steel suspension and ribbon are time period to the medal.
The awards come with their booklet mentioning the awardees name and both serial numbers. The document is numbered ‘Б 806849’.
Short translation of his achievements for his Order of Glory (full translations on request for a small extra fee):
“In an offensive battle on January 14, 1945, when taking a high-rise, Comrade Bleshchuk distinguished himself with bravery and courage. With a light machine gun he contributed to the successful advance of infantry units in mastering the village. In the ensuing battle to destroy the shooting point, he killed 4 Nazis and plundered the enemy’s easel machine gun. When pursuing an adversary to the Oder River, he always went on to carry along the battles of his unit.”
