Description
Soviet Documented group of an Order of Lenin, Red Banner and a medal for Victory over Germany
Awarded to Georgy Mikhailovich Abrosimov (Георгий Михайлович Абросимов)
This group consists of the following items:
Order of Lenin #58493
Made of 23 ct gold, platinum and enamels. Measures 42.86 mm in height (incl. the eyelet) and 37.94 mm in width. It weighs 34.66 gram (not including the suspension).
This early variation suspension Lenin is in pristine condition with perfect enamels. The gold base has no dings or scratches on either side and shows a very attractive luster. The double layer steel suspension is time period to the order and its connection ring has not been cut.
Order of the Red Banner #178531
Made of silver and enamels. Measures 46.03 mm in height (incl. the eyelet) and 37.67 mm in width. The order is in excellent condition with all details visible and uncut connection ring.
The order shows some minuscule enamel chips on the bottom of the top red banner. The awardee has soldered a screw on its reverse for more comfortable wear. this can easily be removed but I prefer the items to be the way the awardees wore them. The double layer steel suspension is time period to the award.
Medal for Victory over Germany
First variation awarded in 1945 with full gold plating and crisp details. The double layer steel suspension is time period to the medal.
