Awarded to Guards Junior Sergeant Spiridonovich Milyutin Mitrofan (Митрофан Спиридонович Милютин)
For destroying 2 enemy mortars, 4 machine guns and 20 submachine gunners. The second medal was awarded for killing 30 Germans with his crew
The medals come with an interesting improvised suspension device
Medal for Bravery #1657828
Made of solid silver and lacquer. Measures 42.55 mm in height including its eyelet, 37.44 mm in width and it weighs 26.8 gram. The medal is in excellent condition with its details perfectly visible and much of the red lacquer still present although covered with some patina/dirt. Its connection ring has not been cut and both sides show an appealing dark patina.

Medal for Bravery #2125092
Made of solid silver. Measures 42.20 mm in height including its eyelet, 37.50 mm in width and it weighs 27.8 gram. This medal is in excellent condition as well with its details crisp and perfectly visible. Much of the red lacquer still present although covered with some patina/dirt. Its connection ring has not been cut and both sides show an appealing dark patina.
Citation for Medal for Bravery #1657828
On 08/29/1944, comrade Milyutin destroyed 2 enemy mortars, 4 machine guns and 20 submachine gunners, who were mortally firing at our infantry in the battle for the village of Abramy (Poland) and height 118.0. By destroying these firing points, comrade Milyutin enabled a low loss of our infantry, when seizing Abramy.
Comrade Milyutin is worthy of the governmental award, order “Red Star”.
Citation for Medal for Bravery #2125092
To the gunner of the 1st battery, Guards Junior Sergeant Mitrofan Spiridonovich Milyutin, for the destruction of the encircled Germans and the capture of the city Heiligenbeil (East-Prussia) on 03/24/45, where he in the area of the village Karben under machine-gun fire of the enemy brought the gun at the target and destroyed a heavy machine gun with its crew, killing up to 30 enemy soldiers what contributed to the success of our infantry.
