For destroying 2 enemy machine-gun positions during street fighting in Berlin 

 

 

The group consists of the following items:

 

Medal for Combat Merit #2090404 with medal booklet:

Made of silver and red lacquer. Measures 32.4 mm in width, 37.1 mm in height including the eyelet and it weighs 17.5 grams without its suspension. 

This medal is in above average condition with crisp details and most of the red lacquer filling the lettering ‘CCCP’ still present. Both sides show several dings and scratches and a dark patina to the silver. Its connection ring has been cut and its suspension is time period.

The medal comes with its booklet in problem free condition with all pages present. This medal is the only one listed.

 

Medal for the Defense of Moscow with document:

Made of brass. Measures 32.3 mm in width, 37.2 mm in height including the eyelet and it weighs 16.3 grams without its suspension.

In nice condition with light to medium wear and several dings and scratches. Most details however are still visible and its connection ring has not been cut.

The medal comes with its document numbered O 28080. We also found archival confirmation of this document number in an award register, which is shown in the picture gallery.

 

Medal for the Liberation of Warsaw with document:

Made of brass. Measures 32.2 mm in width, 37.2 mm in height including the eyelet and it weighs 18.0 grams without its suspension.

In excellent condition with light overall wear and much of the original luster still present. The medal comes with a brass suspension and old ribbon.

Its document is numbered A 080044

 

Medal for the Capture of Berlin with document:

Made of brass. Measures 32.3 mm in width, 37.8 mm in height including the eyelet and it weighs 17.4 grams without its suspension.

In above average condition with light to medium wear and several small dings and scratches. The medal comes with a brass suspension and old ribbon.

The document is numbered B 475304

 

Medal for Victory over Germany with document:

Made of brass. Measures 32.2 mm in width, 36.7 mm in height including the eyelet and it weighs 17.9 grams without its suspension.

In nice condition with light to medium wear and a fair amount of the original gold-like luster still present. The medal comes with a brass suspension and old ribbon.

The document is numbered M 0173028

 

Translation of the citation for his Medal for Combat Merit:

Gunner of the 3rd battery, Junior Sergeant Bukher Viktor Andreevich, is nominated for the fact that in street fighting in Berlin, as part of a gun crew, he destroyed 2 enemy machine-gun positions.

Born in 1921, Ukrainian, non-party member. At the fronts of the Great Patriotic War since 03.04.1945, has no wounds. In the Red Army since 25.09.1940. Drafted by the Stalin District Military Commissariat of the city of Odessa. Previously not awarded.
