Awarded to Sr. Lieutenant Vasily Dmitrievich Frolov for leading his platoon and later a battery under intense enemy fire, ensuring their effective deployment and combat efficiency. Maintained command even after being wounded, he eliminated a total of 9 enemy tanks, 4 artillery pieces, 4 mortars, 36 pillboxes/machine gun nests and killed  over 120 enemy soldiers
