Medal for the Capture of Budapest
Variation 1b with a raised rim on its reverseÂ
Made out of gold plated brass. Measures 32.21 mm in diameter, 38.16 mm in height and weighs 16.7 grams in weight wihtout its suspension.
The medal is in nice condition with most details crisp and medium wear to the raised parts. Much of the original luster present on both sides and the medal shows relatively few dings and scratches. It comes with its time period double layer suspension.
Awarded to Soviet service personnel who took part in the battle of Budapest between 20 December 1944 and 15 February 1945.
