Group of Soviet Campaign Medals
Awarded to NKVD border guard Alexey Grigorievich Nelyubov (Алексей Григорьевич Нелюбов )
The group consists of the following items:
Medal for the Capture of Vienna variation 2:
Made of gilded brass. Measures 32.23 mm in width, 37.21 mm in height including the eyelet and it weighs 17.8 gram.
This medal is in decent condition with light wear and most gold plating present. Its reverse shows some corrosion and the medal comes with its time period brass suspension.
The medal comes with its booklet dated ‘9 April 1946’ and is numbered A 138366.
Medal for the Capture of Budapest variation 1:
Made of gilded brass. Measures 32.11 mm in width, 37.58 mm in height including the eyelet and it weighs 16.9 gram.
In worn condition with medoium to strong wear on its higher laying parts. There are several dings and small scratches and its reverse shows some corrosion of the brass. The medal comes with its time period suspension.
The medal comes with its booklet dated ‘9 April 1946’ and is numbered A 218163
Medal for the Victory over Germany variation 1:
Made of gilded brass. Measures 32.32 mm in width, 37.44 mm in height, including the eyelet and it weighs 17.1 gram.
This medal is in decent condition with medium wear and a fair amount of the gilding still present. The medal comes with its time period brass suspension.
The medal comes with its booklet dated ‘7 November 1945’ and is numbered Д 0137760
