Order of the Red Star #1141926
Made of silver and enamels. Measures 49.11 mm in width, 47.05 mm in height and weighs 31.5 grams. The mint mark is located above, and the serial number underneath the screw post.
This order is in excellent condition with beautiful wine red enamels and a dark patina to the silver. Both the silver base and the enamels show few small dings and scratches only and the higher laying parts on its obverse show light wear with most details visible. The nut is time period to the order and the screw has not been shortened.
Awarded around November ’44 so with nice research potential
The Soviet Order of the Red Star was given to Red Army and Navy personnel for exceptional service in the cause of the defense of the Soviet Union; in both war and peace. Also awarded for 15 years of service prior to the creation of the long service awards.
