Workers’ and Peasants’ Militia (RKM) NKVD Cockade 1939
Established for wear by NKVD USSR Order No. 524 of August 16, 1939
Made of bronzed steel and enamels. Measures 40.2 mm in height, 41.0 mm in width and weighs 7.4 grams. This early, 1939, variation shows 11 ribbons in the coat of arms arms.
The cockade remains in excellent condition, featuring sharp, well-defined details. The original bronzing is fully intact, and the enamels are pristine, showing no signs of damage, repair, or loss. The original stickpins on the reverse have broken off; the current pins are replacements.
