Order of the Red Star #94946
Awarded to Timofey Petrovich Bogdanov (Тимофей Петрович Богданов)
For participation in the heroic defense of Stalingrad and service in the army since the early days of the Patriotic War
Made of silver and enamels. The order measures 47.88 mm in width, 45.90 mm in height and weighs 28.9 grams without its screwplate. The serial number is located at the 6 o’clock position and the mint mark on the 12 o’clock position of its reverse. This early variation has a round base ‘heel’ of the screw.
In worn but decent condition with medium wear tot the raised areas of the center medallion. The enamels are generally well preserved apart from the 12 o’clock ray which shows a large repair. Its reverse is in problem free condition with an appealing dark toning to the silver. Its screw has not been shortened and the order comes with its time period and well fitted silver screwplate.

Senior Lieutenant BOGDANOV T.P. has been participating in the Patriotic war since its first days. Comrade BOGDANOV T.P. is an active participant of the heroic Stalingrad city defence.
For excellent execution of the mission assigned by the front Command, Sr. Lt. BOGDANOV T.P. deserves to be recommended for order “RED STAR”.

NOTE: Pavel GAPOCHKA was personal envoy of Nikita KHRUSHCHEV, i.e. BOGDANOV serviced a car, that transported KHRUSHCHEV (who was member Military Council member of Stalingrad and Southern front).
