Awarded to Guards Captain (later Major) Georgy Ivanovich Ustyantsev (Георгий Иванович Устьянцев)
Special envoy of the military council member of the 3rd Baltic front
Order of the Red Star; Made of silver and enamels. Measures 49.76 mm in width; 48.02 mm in height and weighs 29.0 gram. The mint mark is located above, and the serial number underneath the screw post.
This order is in excellent, well above average condition with most details visible. The enamel is beautiful and only shows some minute contact marks. The higher laying parts on its obverse show light wear. Its screw has not been shortened and the nut is time period to the order.
Short translation of his feats:
“Captain Ustyantsev G.I. at the front of the patriotic war he proved himself to be disciplined, restrained and with initiative. During the hostilities of June, July and August of 1944, he fullfilled assignments of the Military Council of the Front. He exemplary carried out the tasks of the Command, showing proactive perseverance in their implementation.
Worthy of the Government award of the Order of the Red Star
24 August 1944”
