Made of silver and enamels. Measures 48.77 mm in width, 47.01 mm in height and weighs 27.9 grams without its screwplate. The mint mark is located above, and the serial number underneath the screw post. The minimum known serial number is 235999 and the maximum is 594967.
This beautiful order is in excellent, well above average condition with most details still visible and medium wear to the silver medallion. The red enamel is problem free without repairs or flaking and shows some dings and scratches only; most noticeably on its top ray. Its reverse shows an appealing patina and bubbly surface which is very typical for this serial number range. Its screw has not been shortened and the silver screwplate is time period to the order and fits perfectly well.

During the period of 659 tank battalions combat operations near the village Obirg (Spas-Demensk sector), T-34 tank commander ANOKHIN participated many times in armoured assaults and destroyed an enemy tank, an anti-tank artillery battery, 3 heavy machine-guns, and up to 25 enemy troops. Skilfully manoeuvring his tank on the battlefield, he many times evaded the enemy return fire at the same time delivering punishing fire at the enemy. For exhibited courage and bravery exhibited in the struggle against the German invaders, he deserves to be bestowed with order “PATRIOTIC WAR II CLASS”.
