Soviet Order of the Red Star #2559725
Made of silver and enamels. Measures 47.95 mm in width, 46.09 mm in height and weighs 32.1 gram. The mint mark is located above, and the serial number underneath the screw post.
This original order is in excellent condition with its details perfectly visible. The red enamels are beautiful and only show some minor contact marks, no chipping flaking or scratches. Its screw has not been shortened and the nut fits well and is time period to the order.
Most likely awarded in the the second half ’45 so with nice research potential.
The Order of the Red Star was given to Red Army and Navy personnel for exceptional service in the cause of the defense of the Soviet Union; in both war and peace. Also awarded for 15 years of service prior to the creation of the long service awards.
