Order of the Red Star #1689740
Made of silver and enamels. Measures 48.24 mm in width, 46.34 mm in height and weighs 29.6 grams without its screwplate. The mint mark is located above, and the serial number underneath the screw post.
In excellent condition with problem enamels without repairs or damage. The raised areas on its obverse show medium wear and a nice patina. Its screwplate is time period to the order and its screw has not been shortened.
Probably awarded during the spring of 1945 so with nice research potential
The Soviet Order of the Red Star was given to Red Army and Navy personnel for exceptional service in the cause of the defense of the Soviet Union; in both war and peace. Also awarded for 15 years of service prior to the creation of the long service awards.
