Order of the Red Star #1425381
Made of silver and enamels. It measures 48.40 mm in width, 46.25 mm in height and weighs 32.0 gram without its screwplate. The mint mark is located above, and the serial number underneath the screw post.
In decent condition without repairs and most details on the center medallion still visible. The enamels are mostly present but show a chip on the 9 and 3 o’clock rays. Its screwplate is of a later period and its screw has not been shortened.
Probably awarded during the spring of 1945 so with solid research potential
The Soviet Order of the Red Star was given to Red Army and Navy personnel for exceptional service in the cause of the defense of the Soviet Union; in both war and peace. Also awarded for 15 years of service prior to the creation of the long service awards.
