Order of the Red Star #1335183
Made of silver and enamels. Measures 49.17 mm in width, 48.05 mm in height and weighs 31.4 grams without its screwplate. The mint mark is located above, and the serial number underneath the screw post.
In excellent condition with light overall wear. The enamels are well preserved without chipping or flaking. The details of the higher laying parts on its obverse mostly visible and both sides show a medium patina to the silver. Its screwplate is time period to the order and the screw has not been shortened.
Probably awarded during the first months of 1945 so nice research potential.
The Soviet Order of the Red Star was given to Red Army and Navy personnel for exceptional service in the cause of the defense of the Soviet Union; in both war and peace. Also awarded for 15 years of service prior to the creation of the long service awards.
