Soviet Order of the Red Star #1210204
Made of silver and enamels. Measures 49.38 mm in width, 47.57 mm in height and weighs 28.0 gram without its screwplate. The mint mark is located above, and the serial number underneath the screw post.
This original order is in worn condition. The higher laying parts like the soldier show medium wear although the lettering around the edge is still perfectly readable. The enamel of the 5 o’clock ray of the red star has been replaced but is otherwise fine. The screwplate is time period to the order and adjusted to fit better but it is still a bit wobbly at the first half of the screw.
Probably awarded early 1945 so with nice research potential
The Soviet Order of the Red Star was given to Red Army and Navy personnel for exceptional service in the cause of the defense of the Soviet Union; in both war and peace. Also awarded for 15 years of service prior to the creation of the long service awards.
