Order of the Red Star #1054297
Made of silver and enamels. Measures 49.35 mm in width, 47.27 mm in height and weighs 31.4 grams without its screwplate. The mint mark is located above, and the serial number underneath the screw post.
In excellent condition with problem free enamels and several dings and small scratches to the silver on both sides. The raised area like the solder and lettering show medium wear only and most details are still visible. Its screwplate is time period to the order and the screw has not been shortened.
Probably awarded during the last months of 1944 so with nice research potential.
The Soviet Order of the Red Star was given to Red Army and Navy personnel for exceptional service in the cause of the defense of the Soviet Union; in both war and peace. Also awarded for 15 years of service prior to the creation of the long service awards.
