Description
Order of the Red Banner of Labor #3462
Awarded to Donbass Coal Miner Mikhail Ivanovich Kureyev. (Михаил Иванович Киреев)
Made of silver and enamels. Measures 37.27 mm in width, 45.33 mm in height and weighs 37.4 grams without its screwplate. The mint mark “Mondvor” is located above the screw post in one line and the serial number “3462” is positioned at the bottom of its reverse. Next to the serial number is the makers mark ‘KK’. The order was awarded in 1939.
This original order remains in excellent condition, with all details sharp and well-defined. The red, blue, and white enamels are well-preserved, free of chipping, and display only minor contact marks. Much of the original gold plating is intact, while the silver base has developed an attractive patina on both sides. The screw remains unshortened, and the order has never been modified or converted to a suspension type. It includes its original silver screwplate, which twists smoothly and securely.
An early screwback variation in excellent, well above average condition. A rarity as such
