Кухленко Кузьма Степанович

 

Awarded to Major Kuzma Stepanovich Kukhlenko (Кухленко Кузьма Степанович) for 20 years service

 

Kukhlenko was assistant military commandant of the city of Galați (Romania) in charge of operational and personnel issues

 

 

Made of solid silver and enamels. Measures 45.51 mm in height, 37.21 mm in width and it weighs 25.3 gram without its suspension. The serial number and curved mint mark are located at the 6 o’clock position of its reverse.

 

In excellent overall condition with light wear to the silver and its details still crisp. The white enamel is flawless and the red enamel shows a small repair on top right underneath the eyelet. This is done professionally and barely noticeable with the naked eye. Its connection ring has been cut and the order comes with its old double layer steel suspension.

 

Order of the Red Banner #216453 was awarded on April 30, 1947 for 20 years of service to Major Kuzma Stepanovich Kukhlenko, assistant military commandant of the city of Galați (Romania) in charge of operational and personnel issues. He was also awarded a Red Star for long service in 1944 and an OPW2 in 1945, at which time he served as assistant chief of operations of the 74th Rifle Division. Kukhlenko was born in 1904 joined the Red Army in 1926.
