Order of the Red Banner #177728
Made of solid silver and enamels. Measures 45.89 mm in height, 38.05 mm in width and it weighs 26.2 grams without its suspension. The serial number and curved mint mark are located at the 6 o’clock position of its reverse.
In excellent, well above average condition with light wear on the higher laying parts and most details crisp. The white enamel is flawless and the red enamel shows a minor superficial chip on the bottom of the top banner and the 9 o’clock ray of the center star only. Both sides show an appealing patina to the silver and much gold plating is still present. Its connection ring has not been cut and the order comes with its time period double layer steel suspension and old ribbon.
We have not researched this Red Banner but according to our sources this is most likely a NKVD long service award (#177715 & #177801) or one awarded to a partisan (#177724)
