For steadfast defense in the battle for the Minsk–Mogilev highway, where he repelled repeated German counterattacks, knocked out 2 armored vehicles during an attempted breakout, forced the enemy to retreat, and captured 15 prisoners of war
Made of solid silver, gold and enamels. The order weighs 26.0 gram without its screwplate and measures 44.16 mm in width and 43.98 mm in height.
In excellent condition with all details crisp. The enamels are well preserved without repairs and show two tiny superficial flakes only: one on the very tip of the 5 o’clock ray and one on the lower edge of the 9 o’clock ray. Both sides show a medium patina to the silver and the order comes with its original, time period and well fitted screwplate. Its screw has not been shortened.
Brief and specific description of the personal feat or merits:
In the battle for seizing the highway Minsk – Mogilev, comrade DZHAFAROV repelled German counter-attacks together with our infantry units. The Germans were attempting to break out of encirclement along the highway. After numerous unsuccessful counter-attacks, the enemy deployed armoured vehicles. During the combat engagement against the armoured vehicles, comrade DZHAFAROV exhibited steadfastness and knockout out 2 armoured vehicles forcing the others to retreat. He captured 15 men as POWs.
I recommend comrade DZHAFAROV to be bestowed with order “RED STAR”.
