Leningrad mint (LMD) ‘concave reverse’ variation
Made of solid silver, gold and enamels. The order weighs 26.0 gram without its screwplate and measures 45.80 mm in width and 48.17 mm in height.
This original order of the Patriotic War 2nd class is an interesting piece. The red star has different colored enamel on its rays. All are made from ‘hot’ enamel and look professionally applied. Its quite a puzzle to me which rays have their original enamel but I think at least the 3 o’clock ray has been replaced a long time ago. The order is otherwise in good condition with all details present and a full length screw. The screwplate is of a later type.
Most likely awarded mid 1945, great research potential.
