Made of solid silver, gold and enamels. The order weighs 25.7 gram without its screwplate and measures 46.03 mm in width and 48.48 mm in height.
This original order of the Patriotic War 2nd class is in nice condition with its details crisp. The red and white enamels shows several small dings and scratches and some minor flaking but no repairs. It comes with its original, time period screwplate and its screw has not been shortened.

Awarded on February 22, 1945 to Guards Lieutenant (later Senior Lieutenant) Pavel Afanasyevich Pirozhkov, commander of the 2nd Mortar Company, 30th Guards Rifle Regiment, 8th Guards Rifle Division, 7th Guards Rifle Corps, 10th Guards Army, 2nd Baltic Front. During the offensive operations at Ogre and Riga in Latvia, Pirozhkov’s company supported the infantry, always accurately destroying its assigned targets. Between October 1944 and January 1945 the company killed 80 Germans, destroyed 12 enemy wagons carrying cargo and suppressed 27 machine-gun positions. Pirozhkov was born in 1913 and served in the army from 1941 to 1946. He was wounded in March 1942. He was also awarded the Orders of the Red Star and of the Patriotic War 1st class.
