Made of solid silver, gold and enamels. The order weighs 24.2 grams without its screwplate and measures 47.64 mm in height and 45.70 mm in width.
In excellent condition with light overall wear. The order still shows all details and even the gold plating around the edges is still present. Both the red and white enamels have been well preserved and are without repairs with some small dings and minuscule chipping at the very tips of the rays, barely visible with the naked eye. The order comes with its original, time period and well fitted silver screwplate and its screw has not been shortened.
Brief, specific description of personal combat feat or merit:
Major Derevyanchanko, serving as an agitator for the political department of the 58th Guards Rifle Division since 1943, demonstrated exceptional dedication and energy as a political educator and leader. He significantly contributed to the ideological and political education of the division’s personnel, delivering 48 high-quality reports and lectures on international and political topics to officers, sergeants, and privates during critical periods of combat. His efforts earned him eight letters of gratitude from the division command.
In the battles on the left bank of the Vistula River, Major Derevyanchanko personally inspired the personnel of the 178th and 175th Guards Regiments with his courage and fiery Bolshevik spirit, setting a personal example in counterattacking enemy forces. His exceptional propaganda work among the troops, combined with his personal bravery and fearlessness in combat, significantly boosted morale and contributed to the success of military operations. For his outstanding contributions, Major Derevyanchanko is deemed worthy of the Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd Class.
