Made of solid gold, silver and enamels. Measures 45.07 mm in height, 43.35 mm in width and weighs 30.0 grams without its screwplate. The serial number is located at the 6 o’clock position and the mint mark Monetni Dvor is located at the 12 o’clock position of its reverse.
In excellent condition with crisp details. The white and red enamels are gorgeous and show some tiny contact marks and dings only; barely noticeable with the naked eye. Its reverse is in excellent condition as well and both sides show an appealing patina to the silver and gold. Its silver screwpate is time period to the order and the screw maintained its full length.

During the fighting to destroy the encircled enemy grouping in the area of the village of Baraten on August 26, 1944, the enemy, trying to get out of the encirclement with numerically superior infantry forces, supported by self-propelled guns and tanks, counterattacked several times, but all attempts failed. Sokhatskybeing in the battle formations of companies during this period, personally led the battle himself. In this battle, the enemy lost up to 10,000 soldiers and officers. More than 2,000
people were taken prisoner. 2 armored personnel carriers and several vehicles were hit.
For skillful leadership, personal initiative and courage shown in the battles against the Nazi invaders comrade Sokhatsky is worthy of being awarded
the Order of LENIN.
