Early, wide variation with mirror reverse suspension
Made of silver and enamels. Measures 31.51 mm in width, 40.07 mm in height and it weighs 21.1 grams without its suspension.
In decent but worn condition. The details on the mother and baby are perfectly visible but the raised areas like the star show strong wear. The blue and white enamels on its suspension are generally well preserved considering its a wartime piece and show some small superficial flakes only.
This decoration was awarded to all mothers bearing and raising 7 children. It was awarded at the first birthday of the last child, when that seven other children remained alive. Children who had perished under heroic, military or other respectful circumstances were also counted.
