Scare variation without a mint mark and a mirror reverse suspension
Made of silver and enamels. The medallion portraying the woman and child measures 31.17 mm in width, 40.46 mm in height and weighs 20.7 grams without its suspension.
This order is in decent, average condition for an early variation. The details are sharp, and both sides display a medium silver patina. The white and red enamels on the medallion are fully intact, as is the red lacquer on the central star. The enamels on the suspension are less well preserved, with noticeable chipping, mainly on the right side.
This decoration was awarded to all mothers bearing and raising 9 children. It was awarded at the first birthday of the last child. Children who had perished under heroic, military or other respectful circumstances were also counted.
