For courageous service in reconnaissance combat on the 2nd Ukrainian Front, where he fought in multiple engagements, was repeatedly wounded, and continued to serve with determination and bravery

 

Scarce variation with an underlined serial number

 

 

Made of silver and enamels. Measures 46.01 mm in width, 48.54 mm in height and weighs 21.3 grams without its suspension. This minimum serial number for this variation is 717606 and the maximum is 728847 so apx 10,000 of these are produced.

 

In good condition with problem-free enamels. Its obverse shows several scratches and the raised Spasskaya Tower shows light wear, while the surrounding wreath shows more pronounced wear. The connection ring has not been cut, and the order comes with its correct double-layer steel suspension and old ribbon.

 

Brief, concrete description of the personal combat feat or merit:

Red Army soldier-instructor, reconnaissance platoon leader of the 14th Guards Airborne Rifle Regiment, 6th Guards Airborne Division, 2nd Ukrainian Front, Zhovtyak, Evgeny Vladimirovich took part in battles against the German invaders at Znamenka, Novo-Ukrainka, Yassi, Khotvan, Libat, Komarno, where he was wounded by shrapnel in the left thigh and repeatedly wounded by shrapnel in the left forearm, sustaining a concussion. He continued to serve in the ranks of the Red Army and proved himself in battles of the Great Patriotic War on the 2nd Ukrainian Front.
