For repelling 3 enemy counter attacks in Popricani [Romania], eliminatingup to 50 (!) enemy troops in the process
Made of silver and enamels. Measures 46.94 mm in width, 48.65 mm in height and weighs 22.7 gram without its suspension.
This early order is in a nice, about average condition with medium patina on both sides. The enamels are problem free and all present without repairs and show some scratches and minor flaking only. The higher laying parts show light to medium to strong wear but many details are still visible. Its connection ring has not been cut and the order comes with its time period suspension and old ribbon.
Brief and specific description of the personal feat or merits:
The enemy counter attacked on 03 June 1944 near the village Popricani. Disregarding heavy artillery and mortar enemy fire falling at his artillery position, comrade NEDOVIS fired directly with open sights and repelled 3 enemy counter attacks, eliminating in the process up to 30 enemy troops.
On 04 June 1944, the enemy advanced and wedged into our combat formation. Being subjected to continuous enemy aerial strikes and artillery mortar barrages, comrade NEDOVIS rapidly and precisely fired his gun and eliminated up to 20 enemy troops. This effort assisted in the defence against the enemy attack.
He deserves state award order “GLORY III CLASS”.
