Description
Soviet Order of Alexander Nevsky #37696
Awarded to Lt. Col. Vitaly Alekseevich Bogdan (Виталий Алексеевич Богдан)
Drill officer of 1365th anti-aircraft artillery regiment
Made of solid silver and enamels. It measures 51.26 mm in height, 49.91 mm in width and weighs 41.3 grams. The serial number and the mint mark Monetni Dvor are located at the 6 o’clock position underneath the screw.
This original order of Alexander Nevsky is in pristine, near mint condition with all details crisp and full gold plating present. Even the higher laying parts on the obverse show no wear and the red enamel is flawless. The dent which can be sheen on the top left of the 12 o’clock ray of the red star is not a result of wear or damage but of a production imperfection. The center medallion has its original proof-like shine and oil like patina to the silver on both sides. The screw has not been shortened and there have been no repairs. The order comes with its time period and well fitted screwplate.
This piece is of the highest quality we have seen in years and possibly best we have handled up to date!
