Researched Soviet Order of Alexander Nevsky #29124 with order booklet
Awarded to Lieutenant Nikolaj Ivanovich Kulkov (Николай Иванович Кульков)
For personally leading his company forward into an assault at the enemy defenses where they eliminated 20 Germans. A counter attack with superior enemy force with artillery and air support was fought off as a result of Lt. Kulkov commanding skills and personal bravery
Made of solid silver and enamels. Measures 50.94 mm in height, 49.73 mm in width and weighs 39.3 grams without its screwplate. The serial number and the mint mark Monetni Dvor are located at the 6 o’clock position underneath the screw.
This original order of Alexander Nevsky is in nice condition with medium overall wear. The red enamels are in excellent condition without damage or repairs and show some small dings ans scratches only. A fair amount of gold plating on the pollaxes, sword and arrows is still present although much is covered by a layer of patina. The higher laying parts on the center medallion show intensive wear but its details are still visible. There have been no repairs and the screwpost has not been shortened. It comes with its time period and well fitted silver screwplate.

Short Description of his feat of arms or achievements:
“Comrade KULKOV exhibited exemplary combat skill and excellent command of his unit in the combat engagement for capturing the hill 3,2 located in a Dniester river bend (north of the village Korzhevo). He personally led his company forward into an assault at the enemy defences on the hill 3,2. In a swift decisive attack, they reached the enemy trenches and the enemy was routed in panic. In this combat engagement, KULIKOV’s company eliminated up to 20 Germans. After some time, a superior enemy force went into a counter attack, having artillery and air support. The attempted to regain the hill. Only comrade KULIKOV’s commanding skills and personal bravery ensured the troops to stand firmly against the enemy counter attacks, which were fended off with numerous casualties to the enemy.
For exhibited courage and bravery in the struggle against the German invaders, comrade KULIKOV deserves state award – order “ALEKSANDER NEVSKY””
