Brief, concrete description of his feat of arms or accomplishments:

During his service on the minesweeper “ТЩ-62”, comrade FILIMONOV participated in all its combat missions. He participated in the combat minesweeping in the Narva bay.

During an enemy air raid against the ship on 02 August 1944, comrade FILIMONOV steadfastly fired at the enemy aircrafts from a “Shvak” machine-gun. After the engagement was over, comrade FILIMONOV acted exceptionally bravely in patching an underwater hole in the hull, which allowed the ship to continue its combat mission.

For courage exhibited in combat, comrade FILIMONOV deserves a state award – “NAKHIMOV” MEDAL.
