Soviet Medal for the Victory over Japan
Variation 1b with a separately soldered eyelet and a straight diagonal line in the ‘4’ on its reverse. Scarce!
Awarded to Lieutenant Mikhail Vasilievich Egorov (Михаил Васильевич Егоров)
Made out of gold plated brass. Measures 32.18 mm in width, 37.18 mm in height including its eyelet and weighs 17.2 grams without its suspension.
This medal for the Victory over Japan is in excellent, above average condition with its details perfectly visible. There are several small dings and scratches on both sides but most of the gold plating is still present. The medal comes with its time period brass suspension and old ribbon.
Its document is in a worn but solid and decent condition. It is numbered Б 017032 and dated ’16 April 1946′.
Awarded to Soviet service personnel of the 1st and 2nd Far East Trans-Baikal Fronts, Pacific Fleet and Amur River Flotilla who were active between 8 August and 23 August 1945.
