Medal for the Defense of Stalingrad WW2
Variation 1 with a separately soldered eyelet
Made of gilded brass. Measures 32.07 mm in width, 37.29 mm in height including the eyelet and weighs 17.5 grams without its suspension.
This medal is in worn condition but with most details on its obverse still visible. Both sides show several dings and scratches, most noticeable on its reverse. The medal comes with its very early suspension and ribbon which is incorrectly mounted to the suspension as if frequently seen with very early campaign medals.
Awarded to all Soviet military and civilians who participated in the defense of Stalingrad between July and November 1942.
