Soviet Medal for the Defense of Sevastopol Variation 1b-1 WW2
Variation with a raised rim on its obverse and a larger distance between the ends of the naval cap tally
Made of gilded brass. Measures 32.08 mm in width, 37.19 mm in height including its eyelet and it weighs 15.7 gram without its suspension.
In worn condition with most details on the solder and sailor on its obverse worn off. The lettering however is still perfectly visible as are most details on its reverse. The medal comes with an old brass suspension and its connection ring has been cut.
Not in the best condition but till a scarce for an appealing price
This medal was awarded to all participants in the defense of Sevastopol. Both to soldiers and civilians, who took part in the defense of Sevastopol during its siege by German forces.
