Soviet Medal for the Defense of Sevastopol Variation 1b-2 WW2
Variation with a raised rim on its obverse and a smaller distance between the ends of the naval cap tally
Made of gilded brass. Measures 32.32 mm in width, 37.32 mm in height, including the eyelet and it weighs 16.2 gram.
This medal is excellent condition with light to medium wear on the higher laying parts. There are several small dings and scratches but most details are still visible and crisp. A fair share of gold plating is still present and the double layer suspension is time period to the medal. Its connection ring has not been cut.
Scarce to find
This medal was awarded to all participants in the defense of Sevastopol. Both to soldiers and civilians, who took part in the defense of Sevastopol during its siege by German forces.
