Soviet medal for the Capture of Budapest
WW2 variation 1a without a raised rim on its reverse
Made out of gold plated brass. It measures 32.04 mm in diameter, 37.71 mm in height including its eyelet and the medal weighs 17.3 gram without its suspension.
This medal for the Capture of Budapest is in nice condition with a medium overall wear. There are several small dings and scratches and some details on the higher laying parts like the bottom leaves are worn off. Its brass suspension is time period to the medal and its ribbon appears to be old as well.
Awarded to Soviet service personnel who took part in the battle of Budapest between 20 December 1944 and 15 February 1945.
