Soviet Medal for the Capture of Berlin variation 2 (U-shaped eyelet)
Medal for the Capture of Berlin: made of gilded brass. Measures 32.19 mm in width; 37.32 mm in height, including the eyelet and it weighs 17.3 gram.
This medal is in nice condition and shows medium wear. There are several dings and scratches but most details and still visible. The double layer steel suspension is time period to the medal.
The Medal “For the Capture of Berlin” was awarded to soldiers of the Red Army, Navy, and troops of the NKVD, direct participants of the assault and capture of the city as well as to the organizers and leaders of combat operations in the capture of this city.
