Soviet Medal for the 20th Anniversary of the RKKA 1938
This XX year RKKA medal is made of solid silver and enamels. Measures 32.22 mm in diameter, 35.71 mm in height including the eyelet and it weighs 24.1 gram without its suspension.
In excellent, well above average condition with all details present. Even the higher laying parts like the soldier’s fingers and the rifle are all visible. The enamel shows some minor superficial dings only and barely visible with the naked eye. It comes with a brass suspension and old ribbon and its connection ring has been cut.
On the top left of the eyelet a french silver ‘swan’ hallmark is stamped. This swan was used for silver imported from countries without trading contract with France from 1893 until 1970. This means this medal somehow ended up in france somewhere before 1970.
