Awarded to Sgt. Anton Konstantinovich Androsov (Антон Константинович Андросов)
For delivering ammunition, provisions, and POL (fuel and lubricants) to combat units, which contributed to the battalion’s successful combat operations. During operations from 27/08/1943 to 02/09/1943 he delivered hot food under enemy fire to tank crews engaged in battle
Made of solid silver. Measures 32.2 mm in diameter and 2.2 mm in thickness. The height of the medal is 36.8 mm including the eyelet and it weighs 17.7 gram without its suspension.
In worn but decent condition with medium to strong overall wear and several dings and scratches. The red lacquer filling the lettering CCCP is worn off as are some of the details of the raised areas. Its connection ring has not been cut and its double layer steel suspension is time period to the medal. The suspension is covered with nicely handwoven cloth, and Sgt. Androsov or his relatives clearly invested time and care in making it.
