Variation with U-shaped eyelet
Made of solid silver. Measures 32.0 mm in diameter and 2.3 mm in thickness. The height of the medal is 37.1 mm including the eyelet and it weighs 18.4 grams without its suspension.
In excellent condition crisp details and light overall wear. There are relatively few small dings and scratches and the original lacquer filling the letter ‘CCCP’ is fully present. Its connection ring has not been cut and the medal comes with its time period suspension.
This military medal awarded for “combat action resulting in a military success”; “courageous defence of the state borders”; or “successful military and political training and preparation”. Also awarded for 10 years of service prior to the creation of the long service awards.
