U-shape eyelet variation
Made of solid silver. It measures 32.12 mm in diameter and 2.33 mm in thickness at the very edge of the medal. The height of the medal is 36.72 mm (not including the suspension) and it weighs 18.1 gram.
This original WW2 medal for Combat Merit medal is in excellent condition with light wear on the higher laying parts. The red lacquer is mostly present and the medal comes with its time period double layer steel suspension and old ribbon. The connection ring between the medal and suspension has not been cut.
Most likely awarded during the first months of 1945.
This military medal awarded for “combat action resulting in a military success”; “courageous defence of the state borders”; or “successful military and political training and preparation”. Also awarded for 10 years of service prior to the creation of the long service awards.
