Awarded to the Georgian Guards Corporal Shalva Georgievich Zabakhidze (Шалва Георгиевич Забахидзе)
For serving as a driver during combat from September to October 1943, maintaining his vehicle in top condition without a single malfunction. Since April 1942, his car covered over 20,000 km without major repairs, reliably following tanks in all terrains, ensuring uninterrupted communication between command and headquarters

Made of solid silver. Measures 37.16 mm in diameter and 2.65 mm in thickness. The height of the medal is 42.31 mm including the eyelet and it weighs 26.9 gram without its suspension.Â
In excellent, well above average condition, with relatively few dings and scratches and a medium dark patina on both sides. The raised details like the tank and planes, remain crisp and well-defined. The original lacquer in the lettering is almost fully present and only shows a chip at the bottom part of the T. Its connection ring remains intact and uncut, and the medal is accompanied by its original period suspension and old ribbon.

Shalva Georgievich worked as a driver at a radio station during the military operations of the regiment from September 22 to October 20, 1943. While being in combat formations, he did not experience a single case of breakdowns or malfunctions. He maintained his car in excellent condition.
Comrade Zabakhidze had been working as a driver since April 1942. His car covered over 20,000 kilometers without major repairs. In all combat conditions, including off-road situations, he followed the tanks without lagging behind. This ensured uninterrupted communication between the command and the headquarters. Chauffeur Zabakhidze’s car was always in excellent condition. ​
